BRINGING JAZZ ALIVE IN PRESTON
The Preston Jazz and Improvisation Festival will be postponed until the autumn when we hope that the current crisis will be over. This includes the Days of Django concerts with Robin Nolan, Jimmy Rosenberg, Romane and Daniel John Martin, and Ultrafaux UK. We will be in touch with ticket holders over the next week to organise refunds.
We want to thank all of our artists for their understanding at this difficult time for the world. By postponing our event, we join a national effort to contain the Covid-19 virus and save 250,000 lives.
However, we are also aware of the impact that this summer of isolation will have on the livelihood of musicians. If you want to support musicians, please consider buying their records, subscribing to their youtube accounts, and look out for virtual concerts.
Also, if you want something to do while staying at home, many artists offer lessons by Skype etc. so if you've ever been tempted to learn an instrument or improve your playing, consider getting guidance from a professional and take your music to the next level.
We hope you all keep well through these difficult times and we look forward to seeing you in the autumn.
