Lucy Lockwood and the manouchetones

FRIDAY 6th JUNE

5pm The Ferret FREE

Lucy Lockwood is a vibrant and exuberant Jazz and Blues vocalist. Working mainly with Standards, Traditional Jazz and the American Songbook, Lucy has a special focus on scat vocal improvisation, with an attack that doesn't shy into a breathy corner. Lucy was the surprise hit of our Festival in 2018 when she did an impromptu set in the Harris Museum. This year she returns with a full set, accompanied by the Manouchetones, Liverpool’s premier gypsy jazz band with Mickey Dunne, Karl Webb and John McCormick.

The Festival is sponsored by the Arts Council, the University of Central Lancashire, the Faculty of Culture and the Creative Industries and the Creative Arts Development Group. We are partners with the Ribble Valley Jazz and Blues Festival, the Preston Caribbean Carnival and Making a Mark and we are supported by Preston City Council. (c) 2018 UCLan
